Sandy Roob, a farmer's daughter from Northern Indiana, grew up immersed in rural landscapes. 

Sandy began her artistic journey in high school and took as many art classes as possible. She received her BA from DePauw University where she studied Studio Arts, and Communications. 

Her career has included forms of art communication.  First, she landed an internship with Young & Rubicam Advertising in NYC drawing upon her artistic talents.  

Secondly, her career evolved as an award winning TV news reporter for several years with WNDU in South Bend, her hometown. 

Then, she turned her visual story telling from the camera to the canvas when she took up oil painting a decade ago. She now teaches painting at the Indianapolis Art Center. 

Her work has been shown at the IAC, the Broad Ripple Art Fair, The Stutz, The Brick Street Art Walk in Zionsville, Millersville Cafe Market, and other venues. She accepts commissioned work.
